About

Anna Castillo is a Chilean-American-German artist based between Barcelona and Berlin.

Starting at the age of 5, Anna Castillo developed as a Flamenco
dancer in the scene of Berlin. After going through the flamenco dance
schools of Berlin, she looked to improve her technique in Spain. Already as a
child she took classes with prominent figures such as Manolete and La Moneta in Granada.
2018 she moved to Madrid where she attended the famous flamenco school „Amor de Dios“.
Dancers such as Belen Lopez, Concha Jareno, Jose Manuel Alvarez shaped her style of dance.

2020 she started her studies in Interpretation and Choreography at the
„Conservatori Superior de Dansa“ Institut del Teatre in Barcelona, where she
is an active member of the Laboratorio Flamenco directed by Juan Carlos
Lerida.

Motivated by the desire to see flamenco and other dance styles from different perspectives, she began her dance studies at the FU Berlin in 2023.

Currently Anna works in Theatre pieces, teaching Flamenco, organising Tablao shows and own artistic research between Berlin and Barcelona.

      Philosophy

For Anna, dance transcends mere movement—it’s a profound expression of the soul.
It’s a language that speaks volumes, conveying emotions and stories that words cannot capture.
Dance is a journey of self-discovery, a medium through which she connects with her deepest passions, explores her identity, and communicates with the world around her.

Through dance, Anna finds liberation, joy, and a sense of purpose, shaping every step with intention and authenticity.
